The role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and clearly communicating requirements related to new or modified business processes, policies, and information systems. By facilitating collaboration across multiple teams, the Business Analyst ensures that all projects are aligned with organizational objectives and that solutions meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders. _Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Behaviors):_ · Knowledge of business process analysis and modeling techniques. · Knowledge of project principles, concepts and methods. · Knowledge of IT systems and software development lifecycle (SDLC). · Knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools (e.g., Excel, SQL). · Knowledge of change management principles and practices. · Knowledge of typical project specialist documents (project plan, requirements and design documents, communications plans, test plans, etc.). · Knowledge of computer software development methods. · Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to the industry. · Knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suite. · Skilled in verbal and written communication, with strong customer service abilities. · Skilled in strong independent judgement, and problem-solving techniques, planning, and directing the work of others. · Skilled to evaluate business processes and identify areas for improvement. · Ability strong problem-solving skills to address business and technical challenges. · Ability to maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals and encourage open communication with staff and within teams. · Ability to motivate team members to maintain project momentum while addressing and resolving challenges. · Ability to effectively communicate complex technical tasks to users with varying levels of technical expertise, adjusting explanations to suit their understanding. · Ability to develop and manage project schedules, monitor deliverables, track and resolve issues, and ensure project completion within budget and time constraints. · Ability to evaluate business and system models with expertise in documenting business processes. · Ability to present at or hosting meetings of various sizes, including conferences, kickoff events, legislative hearings, and other speaking engagements. _Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience_): · Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, project specialist, or related field. · Three years’ experience as a business analyst, project specialist, or related field.* · Other combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.* _Does this sound like you?_ Please tell us how and why by submitting your resume online, including any veterans or disability preference documentation.When submitting the required documents, you must check the “relevant document” box to ensure your attachments are uploading correctly to the specific application for this position.Documents not requested will not be considered in the recruitment process.
