This director position for the CBRE Business Analytics team is the business analytics sales and client solutions leader for Global Workplace Services (GWS) in the Americas region. The Business Analytics team is a group of experienced data professionals, analysts, data scientists, and developers executing real estate business intelligence projects for CBRE’s clients. Projects are focused on data integration and automation, warehousing, and visualization to optimize client portfolio operations across all service lines: facilities management, project management, finance, portfolio administration, benchmarking and capital planning, etc.
The director position will lead regional GWS Business Analytics sales and solutions activity from RFP to award, in collaboration with CBRE’s Client Solutions teams. S/he will lead the achievement of strategic goals and deliverables for CBRE’s occupier clients with a focus on the sale and deployment of integrated solutions designed to create superior measurable outcomes for these clients. In collaboration with CBRE’s Global Head of Business Analytics Sales and Solutions, and other Business Analytics leadership, the director will contribute to the oversight of the Americas region, management, with responsibility to grow regional GWS P&L and meet financial targets.
The ideal candidate possesses a broad skill set across several key categories: advanced solutions experience, team management, strong client-facing communications, experience in business intelligence and common real estate technologies, and knowledge of the corporate real estate outsourcing industry. Minimum of 10+ years of experience. This position is available as remote or hybrid, working from a CBRE office. The Business Analytics group has a presence in New York, NY, Santa Barbara, CA, Chicago, IL, and Dallas, TX. This is a national role and requires the flexibility to occasionally attend calls and meetings in multiple time zones.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Together with leadership, establish performance objectives and deliverables related to the achievement of line of business' goals, financial targets, client satisfaction, and other specific objectives.
Achieve sales targets in collaboration with CBRE’s Sales and Client Solutions team.
Support the management and achievement of financial, operational, and other key performance indicators for client engagements, internal projects, or overall team goals.
Lead client presentations (both in-person and virtually) as part of sales pursuits and occasionally as part of service delivery.
Understand and articulate in a simple fashion business intelligence solution architecture.
Understand real estate technology and popular solutions in the marketplace.
Engage in a consultative capacity with clients and account teams to refine, adapt, and deploy solutions in support of transformational long-term relationship contracting models.
Engage with key stakeholders and segment leadership to participate in the ongoing visioning and definition of industry-leading strategies and solutions.
Miscellaneous support for marketing materials, presentations, budgeting, and resource planning.
Problem solve technical issues and client questions. Escalate issues to senior management and dedicated technical team as needed.
Other duties may be assigned.
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires high degree of analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis and research of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company and the company’s largest, most strategic occupier clients.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
University level degree. Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Data & Analytics, or related program or MBA preferred but not required. Minimum of seven years of business experience in sales, consulting and/or real estate experience is required, including five years of experience at the management level.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
DATA MANAGEMENT AND ANALYTICS
No technical experience required. Knowledge of data management, architecture, and analysis, along with knowledge visualization and analytics tools including Tableau would be an asset. Elementary understanding of hosting environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure preferred.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex data sets. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite Products. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Colorado Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $160,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $190,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
