THE ROLE : The Business Development Manager – Integrators and E&C will be responsible for establishing and maintaining account management activities to integrators, contractors, and engineering firms. In this role, the incumbent will also facilitate and drive sales through internal and external project sales support teams, teaching project management skills along with project sales training to the respective sales teams. This is a remote role, and position requires overnight travel. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Provides account management activities for selected Integrators and Engineering and Consulting firms.
Maintain a high level of expertise in all areas of applications and associated products within the Xylem Analytics Process portfolio of products.
Building strategic technical relationships with targeted Integrators and Engineering and Contracting firms.
Supports the sales organization with technical and sales applications expertise as it relates to projects.
Provides high-level technical consulting related to municipal and industrial market applications and how Analytics Process products and services meet the technical requirements of those markets and applications.
Works with Regional Sales Managers, Product Support Specialist and Manufacturer’s Representatives providing project support and project sales training.
Participate in sales activities for the purpose of bringing application expertise to high priority sales opportunities.
Coordinates joint sales support activities, (such as training, consulting, Lunch and Learns) with Regional Sales Managers and Manufacturers Representatives.
Provides presentations (technical sales and/or technical training) at Xylem/YSI sponsored seminars and industry sponsored seminars.
Write and deliver technical papers.
Active in key trade organizations
Seeks leadership roles in technical organizations and committees.
40-75% Travel throughout North America.
Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organization needs.
QUALIFICATIONS :
BA or BS degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences or equivalent experience.
Technical applications sales experience (five years or greater) in similar products and services preferred.
Developed computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
Must maintain a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers.
Requires proven ability to speak in front of large groups.
Exhibits willingness and ability to assimilate technical information quickly.
Strong organization and leadership skills a plus.
Track record of selling skills with excellent time management skills.
SALARY :
The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
