Humana Business Intelligence Associate Director in Helena, Montana

The Associate Director, Business Intelligence will be responsible for leading the operational performance of Value-Based Specialist Programs within the Service Fund organization. Overseeing a team of highly specialized professional associates, the Associate Director will implement operational processes to support payments and reporting for external value-based partners.

The Associate Director, Business Intelligence leverages the tools, technologies, applications, and practices available to collect, integrate, analyze, and present Value-Based Specialist Program data to create insightful and actionable business information. Advises executives to develop functional strategies that provide support for value-based specialist programs, working heavily with providers to achieve success through the Service Fund team. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and valuation of new programs, as well as the maintenance of current programs.

  • Leads a teams of 7 Senior Business Intelligence Engineers

  • Utilizes complex SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics (ASA), SAS, and other technical skills to drive process improvement and assist markets in managing their value-based relationships

  • Works with Contracting and Actuaries for the expansion of all value-based programs into new markets and business areas

  • Manages research and reporting of key performance metrics, providing an understanding of how the data reconciles and what it means for current and potential programs

  • Responsible for payments to value-based specialists

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in data analysis and intelligence OR Master's degree and 5+ years of experience in data analysis and intelligence

  • 5+ years of leadership experience

  • 5+ years of experience working with value-based providers

  • Experience developing SQL queries

  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (ASA)

  • Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling

  • Knowledgeable in process improvement and metrics development

  • Knowledgeable in regulations governing health care industries

  • Familiarity with contract interpretation and implementation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering or related field

  • Experience using SAS

  • Ability to anticipate and be proactive around next steps in large initiatives simultaneously

  • Relationship focused and can represent Service Fund well to both internal and external audiences

  • Knowledge of Humana's internal policies, procedures and systems

Work-At-Home Requirements

  • To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended to support Humana applications, per associate.

  • Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership. (See Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL Connection in Exceptions, Section 7.0 in this policy.)

  • Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$126,800 - $174,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
