What you’ll be doing…

The Tableau CSG Transformation and Strategy team (T&S) is a newly built global team with a goal to design and incubate forward-thinking and progressive solutions and teams across CSG. Within the CSG Transformation and Strategy team, we are launching a new team “Strategic Customer Products Partner Engagement (SCPPE)” . The goal of the SCPPE motion is to increase Tableau and Salesforce customer adoption, prevent customer attrition, enable services opportunities, and drive future expansion opportunities.

This team will be composed of post-sales subject matter professionals who develop deep relationships and provide tailored guidance for our strategic and most valuable customers to accelerate the value of their Tableau and Salesforce investment. This team will galvanize time-bound strategic engagements to assess customer’s problem statement, scope the work and deliver a comprehensive report with pointed assessments and recommendations to help customers implement from end to end. For a successful engagement, this team will work collaboratively with the wider CSG team and work alongside Sales, Product and Engineering.

The SCPPE team is looking for seasoned Business Operations Manager who will lead project definition, planning and delivery of new programs. They will also improve team level processes, workflows and day to day operations. Mentoring co‐workers in these areas will be a part of the role, along with continuing to develop your own skills in partnership with more senior team members. The role requires an understanding of how to lead and independently deliver projects with minimal guidance; how to identify and creatively mitigate risks and issues; how to effectively coordinate cross‐functional projects and teams and knowing when to escalate status, progress, risks, and issues to senior program and team managers, directors, and other partners.

The Business Operations Manager is a great teammate who understands the need to build strong relationships with key partners both within, and external to Customer Solutions, and to communicate clearly, early and often. The role will build project teams, and comes with a responsibility to align project and operational work, including the work of others, with the goals and values of Tableau.

Some of the things you’ll be doing include...

  • Showcasing complex project management skills in the owning of the requirements, scheduling, resourcing, design, delivery, testing, training/documentation, and roll‐out of projects.

  • Coordinates across own project team, and with other project teams.

  • Works closely with SCPPE leadership to develop project plans for design and delivery of new programs, engagements and motions as SCPPE evolves and scales.

  • Drives accountability from SCPPE leaders to ensure highest operational standards are being maintained.

  • Brings program and project management rigor to the team with clear PM artifacts, detailed plans and standard status reporting cadence.

  • Builds operational processes and workflows, owns ongoing success, reports on risks and issues, and devises, tracks and reports on specified success measures and critical metrics.

  • Works closely and effectively with internal and external partners, and builds strong alliances by deploying strong team‐working, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Identifies and communicates blockers and opportunities for improvement to operational workflows.

  • Builds and maintains an in‐depth understanding of the Tableau products, and how to communicate that to customers.

  • Acts as an advocate for own projects and operational functions, and the interests of the customer.

  • Keeps track of developments in the Tableau business and the Customer Solutions industry, recommends improvements, and devises business cases and measures of success for those changes.

Who you are...

  • Experienced . 7-10 years of experience with operations management, IT project management in a fast paced deadline driven environment.

  • Project Manager. Hands-on experience with project management tools and applications is a must. Certification in a project management method preferred.

  • Product Knowledge. Experience with Tableau and Salesforce solutions is a plus.

  • Customer Obsessed. Dedicated focus on delivering a world class customer experience and helping them achieve their business goals.

  • Influencer . Demonstrable experience in influencing stakeholders, challenging status quo, bringing new ideas to fruition and continuously improving processes.

  • Problem Solver. You love taking on the most difficult of challenges and know how to get to the best solution. You partner with customers to drive business change and implement end to end solutions as a trusted technical advisor.

  • Communication Finesse . Strong verbal and written communication of qualitative and quantitative business cases.

  • Eye for Detail. Exercise timely practice of attention to detail through thorough and accurate assessment to better understand cause and effect.

  • Analytical Problem Solver. Ability to define, identify and resolve problems with varying degrees of complexity.
