We are looking for a detail-orientedSecurity Business Managerwith a background in project coordination to ensure smooth operation of the State’s cybersecurity operations. This position is primarily responsible for managing a wide variety of security-related business operations, and must be able to understand technical terminology; collaborate with diverse state, federal and municipal groups; make informed decisions; and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. This position will administer, measure success, and improve security awareness programs; support security team functions and recommend solutions to improve security business process flow; and coordinate statewide and citizen-facing security programs. Success in this role will require you to take initiative with minimal direct oversight while aligning to Security strategy, policy, and schedule of events; communicate consistently with Security leadership; and demonstrate confidence in keeping teams, leaders, and executives on schedule. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Organize and prioritize security program tasks, communicate security needs with technology teams, and collaborate with security leadership; * Manage and support the enterprise Security Awareness Training; * Identify, measure, track, and report program operational and performance metrics; * Facilitate planning, standups, and reviews for the security team by becoming a certified scrum master; * Learn and independently manage the KnowBe4 console (which may be learned on the job); * Support security requests and cases; * Provide program and project support for the Security Services leadership team; * Learn the ServiceNow platform and maintain security knowledge articles and policies in ServiceNow; * Support the advisory councils (such as MT-ISAC); * Coordinate security awareness activities; * Manage and support outward facing security programs, events and conferences; and * Assist the security Leadership as needed. / / /We know the confidence gap can get in the way of meeting outstanding candidates who are eager to learn, so consider applying — we'd love to hear from you!/ What are we looking for? Education, Experience, and Certifications: * · Associate’s degree in business, information technology, or related field; · 3 yearsof experience supporting business functions, meetings and processes; · Excellent communication skills; · A strong interest in cybersecurity; and* · Scrum Master certification (or ability to become certified within 6 months of hire)* · Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis (such as high school diploma and 5 years related experience). *Would be nice to have: · Experience coordinating programs;* · Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Technology field. / / /Additionally, it would pique our interest if you have experience working in either the KnowBe4 platform or the ServiceNow platform, specifically with Knowledge Base or Policy Module./ * * *Competencies: /Knowledge of: / * Basic understanding of cybersecurity, risk management, & vulnerability management. * Basic understanding of technical terms such as network infrastructure, firewalls, DNS, ports, TCP/IP * Project management methodologies /Skill in: / * Strong organizational skills. * Communicating and coordinating with business partners, vendors, and customers. * Critical thinking. * Taking initiative given basic outlines and requests. * Speaking to and coordinating with leadership. * Project management. * Change management. * Managing a system through a web console * System and program implementations. * Microsoft Visio or other diagram software. / / /Ability to: / * Effectively communicate orally and in writing to technical and non-technical staff as well as leadership. * Identify opportunities for improvement, recommend solutions and lead/coordinate and implement plans. * Actively listen to customer needs and provide a prompt response. * Take ownership for a program or project. * Anticipate issues and recommend solutions. * Lead and coordinate IT security programs. * Lead, coordinate, and facilitate technical/business meetings. * Learn technical platforms and terminology. * Learn IT security policies, standards and guidelines. * * Does this sound like you?
