Duration: 6+ Months Shift: Candidate must be comfortable with variable shifts* * Physical demands (if any): *- Able to lift to 35 lbs; Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs; Occasional carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, walking, standing, balancing; Frequent reaching overhead and at or above shoulder; Frequent sitting; Frequent climbing *Job Description:- Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, tube bending, and fabrication tasks. Performs composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks.- Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.- Assembles, repairs, modifies, and installs various power plants and drive trains. Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.- Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. Prepares test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to perform various tests.- Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.- Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.- Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.- Proficient with Fanuc and/or Siemens-controlled CNC milling machines, CNC lathes & CNC mill-turn machines.- Performs set-ups and machining on 3, 4 & 5-axis CNC milling machines of production parts for 737, 767, 777 / 777x & 787.- Hand finish and edge break of aluminum, stainless & titanium production parts.- Performs production part inspection with all manner of hand inspection tools during production.- Performs part production using established drawings, specifications, and requirements.- Utilize and follow standardized work and step details required for production parts and assemblies.- Use BPSM or RPS to support real-time problem solving - stop work if / when required to find the true root cause.- Ensure all parts are inspected before closing an operation so we do not pass on any defects to our downstream customers.- Support a culture that is committed to continuous improvement.- Hold ourselves and the team accountable to Boeing's Behaviors and Values.- Be part of an environment of effective two-way communication (within the team and across departments or shifts).- Function as a team to work together to meet daily performance targets and achieve higher levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.Education / Experience: *- High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Required:- Proficient with Fanuc and/or Siemens-controlled CNC milling machines, CNC lathes & CNC mill-turn machines.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in the Machining production environment.Required Education*:- High School Diploma.About our Company: - 22nd Century Technologies, Inc., is one of the fastest growing IT Service Integrator and Workforce Solution companies in the United States.
