(Not Remote)This position is responsible for the origination, servicing, and collection of commercial, consumer and real estate loans and the solicitation and development of additional customers to the Bank. Job Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below. LOANS (Commercial, Consumer and Real Estate)1.Interview potential loan customers, assess feasibility of credit requests by analyzing borrower's loan application and financial statements. Prequalify applicants for real estate loans to ensure terms meet needs of the borrower as well as underwriting guidelines of the Bank and secondary market.2.Grant loan in conformance with Bank lending policy, determine terms, amount to be advanced and conditions of repayment. Supervise the preparation of the note, ensure proper loan documentation is obtained, and disburse the funds. All credits above lending limit or out of loan policy, submit to the Market President or loan committee for approval.3.Perform collateral inspections and appraisals on a continuous basis to ensure existence and condition of collateral, and to view operating practices. Be especially alert for signs which may indicate credit deterioration.4.Monitor the loan portfolio to ensure current file documents and financial information and payments are being made as agreed. Take appropriate action to aid loan repayment or make extensions and refinances when feasible. Refer particularly difficult or large collections to the loan committee for assistance and if necessary, prepare documents for legal counsel to proceed with litigation to collect problem loans.5.Keep abreast of any changes in regulations to maintain compliance.6.Sell credit life and disability insurance and handle all questions and problems that may arise.7.Promote and cross-sell bank services and develop new customer relationships. Maintain active involvement in civic and community affairs and organizations.8.Assist customers with general banking needs, in person or on the telephone.9.Supervise the loan past due administration. Conduct meetings on a weekly basis for delinquent loans and coordinate collection activities all with direct reporting to the Market President.10.Assist Market President with commercial loan administration.11.Provide training to consumer/commercial loan secretary OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT1.Backup to the Operations Supervisor as needed. 2.Resolve in a timely and effective manner customer and employee complaints and inquiries. Monitor the types and frequencies of errors to identify possible causes and make recommendations to supervisor as to their elimination. 3.Approve checks for cashing as requested and handle difficult or unusual situations on checks which have been returned for NSF, Account Closed., etc. 4.Perform miscellaneous other duties, including but not limited to: assisting the President with budget planning, assist in managing bank operations on a limited as needed basis. NEW ACCOUNTS/CUSTOMER SERVICE (Backup as needed) 1.Resolve customer inquiries and problems as they relate to bank services and procedures. 2.Maintain a working knowledge of bank retail products and rates. 3.Greet and assist customers over the telephone and in person. 4.Provide other customer services which may include, wire transfers, merchant credit card accounts, completing telephone transfers, providing notary services, completing construction loan transfers, fax and photocopy assistance. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1.Originate and service commercial, consumer and real estate loans, contributing to the profitability of the bank while ensuring compliance with established lending policies to maximize bank's growth and development. 2.Promote and cross-sell bank services to existing customers and develop new business to increase bank growth and profitability. 3.Minimize losses from outstanding loans through effective use of collection procedures. 4.Participate in the customer calling program and community affairs to present a favorable bank image and to develop new business for the bank as well as keep existing customers. 5.Establish work procedures and guidelines to ensure adherence to audit controls and minimize the possibility of monetary loss. 6.Contribute to employee and customer satisfaction by researching problems and taking appropriate action and communicating with all parties. 7.Sell various financial services to new and existing customers to contribute to the growth and profitability of the bank. 8.Provide efficient, courteous and effective service to retain existing customers, attract new customers and achieve departmental growth objectives.
