GovCIO Communications/Project Analyst (Remote) in Helena, Montana

Overview

GovCIO is hiring for a Communications/Project Analyst to join our PMO on the Health Technology Management Services team. The selected candidate will provide contracted support to the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information and Technology. The Communications/Project Analyst will support the administrative functions such as status reporting, organization chart maintenance release reporting, and meeting facilitation. The environment is dynamic, demanding and the client needs are often evolving; flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success. This position is fully remote within the United States with core hours of operation from Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM ET.

Responsibilities

Develops, maintains, and enhances the Community Care's image through a variety of support and communication programs. Creates communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products including graphics, briefings and fact sheets. Prepares presentations and/or speeches. Provides input into the creation of marketing communications program budgets and plans.

  • Write, rewrite and/or edit VA and GovCIO reports and presentations associated with the supported product line. Reports are due on specific cadence.

  • Translate complex data and documentation into plain language for use in reporting

  • Create and follow structure to remind and follow up with team members who are providing input to reports and statuses.

  • Develop, gather, and disseminate technical information and documentation among both business and technical customers in support of the Product Line

  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings and take meeting minutes, document, and conduct follow-up on action items as directed.

  • Ability to support product data needs, using clear concise communication, being the single point of contact with the mindset of completing these tasks prior to the assigned deadlines to ensure compliance.

  • Maintains data in tools such as Teams and SharePoint, or other tools to serve as a ready catalog for easy retrieval.

  • Serve as backup for the Communications Manager as needed.

  • Periodically pull data from JIRA or SharePoint and manages permissions and functionality on some SharePoint/Teams sites

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Research or related fields and 5 years of experience.

  • 8-10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education requirement.

  • Experience in an IT setting

  • Ability to meet deadlines (short turnarounds sometimes required).

  • Ability to anticipate recurring tasks.

  • Works well in a team environment.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Excellent written communication skills.

  • Excellent communicator that garners trust through transparency.

  • Must be able to build collaborative relationships with diverse teams with varied needs.

  • Analytical and investigation skills. Find documented solutions for decision making.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with IT project delivery

  • Experience and knowledge of VA used tools such as JIRA, Microsoft OneNote, MS Project, SharePoint.

  • Experience working with DevOps, Agile Scrum and SAFe.

  • Experience working with VA or Federal Government entity.

Clearance Required : Ability to obtain/maintain as VA Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $78,000.00 - USD $83,000.00 /Yr.
