Compensation Analyst

Role Overview:

The Compensation Analyst supports the development and administration of Trellix’s global compensation programs. The role performs a variety of analytical and administrative duties to ensure consistent and equitable pay practices, compliance with Trellix policies, and conformance with legal requirements.

About the Role:

These duties include but are not limited to:

  • Conducts analysis for individual employees/teams and develops compensation recommendations related to new hires, promotions, job changes, transfers, internal equity, and market adjustments.

  • Evaluates job responsibilities to determine career band, job level, compensation grade, FLSA classification for jobs.

  • Supports the annual compensation planning process, including system testing, data preparation, process management, training, and communication.

  • Assist with the annual incentive plan administration. Prepares regular reporting on incentive targets and may perform payment modeling and forecasting.

  • Administers special payment programs, including payment submission, tracking, and reporting.

  • Participates in various compensation surveys. Tracks surveys and due dates. Maintains job matches and compiles data for salary survey submission. May analyze survey results to assess market competitiveness and effectiveness of compensation programs.

  • Assists with the annual merit budget development and updates to compensation structures and geographic differentials.

  • Prepares reports as needed regarding compensation information for analysis and information requests.

  • Serves on the project team for Workday configuration and enhancement projects focusing on system testing and auditing.

  • Provides support in equity plan administration, including tracking awards, and maintaining documentation and participant communications.

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years of analyst experience in Human Resources, with a minimum of 1 year in compensation. Will consider experience in Finance or Data Analytics.

  • Familiarity with HRIS administration, preferably Workday.

  • Strong experience with data analysis and mathematical modeling using spreadsheets/database; ability to identify, research and correct data anomalies; ability to decipher large data sets and “tell the story”.

  • Solid understanding of compensation structure and administration including job evaluation, base salary, and incentives.

  • Experience supporting global projects with basic knowledge of global complexities and requirements. Project management skills are a plus.

  • Advanced skills with Google and Microsoft suites, high level in Excel/Sheets (basic programming skills a plus)

  • Team player with a demonstrated ability to collaboratively work with people across all levels of the organization in various locations.

  • Experience with designing and building slide decks to present information to a wide range of audiences, including but not limited to management & executive leadership.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work remotely and independently.

  • Ability to work in the US Eastern or Central time zone is preferred.

Base Pay Range: $61,500 - $114,000. Actual base pay within this range will depend on varying circumstances, including the work location, individual qualifications, company budget and other operational business needs. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy.
