Intel is seeking a candidate to join the Competitive Analysis and Targeting team within the Technology Development organization. The candidate will focus on providing a competitive analysis forecast for process technology features, state of the art Critical Dimensions (CDs), and lithography techniques expected to be used in the industry.
The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create competitive roadmaps for industry players regarding both process technology and product levels.
Forecast competitive product and expected technology intercept based on past market behavior
Collect competition news and publicly available information across the web daily, assess credibility of the source.
Work within or extend the existing framework of projections to make data-driven guidance, and revise models as new data is available.
Contribute to competitive teardowns of in-market SoCs leveraging advanced Foundry technologies, and consideration of their corresponding chipsets.
Candidate will interact with other organizations within Technology Development (TD), align with other Competitive Analysis teams within Intel, and interact with other market participants external to Intel to acquire data and review projections.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements
- Candidate must have a Master's degree in Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience at a Fabless semiconductor, leading edge Foundry, fabrication tooling provider, or business consultancy engaged in semiconductor market research and analysis, OR PhD with 1+ years of experience at a Fabless semiconductor, leading edge Foundry, fabrication tooling provider, or business consultancy engaged in semiconductor market research and analysis.
-1+ years of experience in 3 or more of the following:
Semiconductor and process technology
Data analysis, sensitivity analysis, financial analysis, or similar modeling techniques.
Creating competitive roadmaps and forecasting market behavior of multiple market players.
Working with licensable CPU architectures and modeling PPA impact of process choices on these cores.
3+ years of experience in/with:
Creating and maintaining a structured database such as MySQL or similar.
Research organization dedicated to semiconductor process development.
Any experience in Performance Power Area (PPA) projects for Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO) at cell and block level is a plus.
Basic knowledge of standard cell/Bitcell layout and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools is appreciated.
Complementary experience with fabless ecosystem players, market leading Fab engagement.
Previous experience presenting papers at annual conferences.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
