As a Compliance Specialist with the Employment Standards Division, you will: * Manage the intake of complaints and information related to injured workers, employers and workers' compensation insurer with the application of the Workers' Compensation Act. * Interpret, analyze and craft solutions for complex situations between injured workers, employers and workers' compensation insurer. * Provide customer service for incoming calls from workers, attorneys, employers and workman compensation insurers. * Assist section manager with the development and reporting of metrics on workload statistics and outcomes. If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have the following knowledge, skills or abilities: Knowledge of: * Legal and investigative processes and fundamentals. * Statutes, rules, legal opinions, and case law regarding Workmans' Compensations programs. Skills in: * Organizing and prioritizing to meet deadlines and handle fluctuating caseload. * Delivering excellent internal and external customer service. Ability to: * Take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues. * Recognize the actions needed to accomplish an objective and to initiate action with minimum supervision. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Relevant bachelor's degree in communications, business, or public administration, or a related field. * Minimum of one year of directly related qualifying experience. Or * Five years of experience working directly in compliance/regulation with specific emphasis in analytical and communication skills. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered on a case-by-case basis. Ability to obtain the Montana Claims Examiner Certification within 90 days of hire.
