Oracle Consulting Delivery Manager | Energy and Water Consulting in Helena, Montana

Job Description

This manager-level position is responsible for a segment within a given practice focused on a specific industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsible for managing the three main pillars of a practice: people management, portfolio/delivery management and sales enablement. Has profit and loss responsibility or financial/expense management of practice.

Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining practice direction, ensuring quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer referenceability. Ensures that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Develops plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieves business plan. Is accountable for managing and growing a revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages individual contributors. May serve as advisor for moderately complex engagements.

8+ years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience and 2 years of project management leadership experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Can lead, engage, mobilize and motivate multiple teams to accomplish goals. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Customer Solutions (CS) Delivery Manager who will be responsible for managing a team of functional consultants to staff our NAMER portfolio of projects which include implementations, cloud migrations, upgrades, and Utility Integrated Managed Services. Responsible for solution delivery and oversight, resource management/enablement/utilization, delivery excellence and business development.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Enhance and evolve business development and delivery tools/collateral, including methodology and estimating models

  • Create and implement operational policies and processes to drive utilization, team enablement, key skill/performer retention, deliverable & solution reusability, consistent results, and continuous improvement of delivery quality.

  • Mentor and develop industry experience, application skills, and consulting expertise amongst team

  • Interview & onboard new staff, along with providing continual feedback and formal performance appraisals for team members

  • Provide complex solution delivery and solution oversight on active engagements

  • Partner with project managers to balance resource supply & demand, on active & bid engagements

  • Support consulting sales team with RFP responses, project estimation and resource planning, oral presentations, contract development and negotiation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • People & team management experience

  • Minimum of 10 years consulting experience

  • Full life cycle experience delivering COTS - as an individual contributor and preferably with project management or team lead experience

  • Implementation experience with Oracle Utilities Customer Solutions or relevant competing software:

  • Customer Care and Billing

  • Customer to Meter/Customer Cloud Service

  • Meter Data Management/Meter Solution Cloud Service

  • Billing Cloud Service

  • Market Settlements Management

  • Experience in business development activities (RFP responses, scope definition and estimation, client presentations, staff planning, bid transition)

  • Team leadership on projects

  • Either direct employment with a utility or deep knowledge of utility business processes gained through consulting
