The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Child and Family Services Division. Under general supervision of the Fiscal Bureau Chief, this position is responsible for ensuring the Division and its contracted providers are in compliance with contract requirements. This includes the coordination and oversight of all Division contracting; supervision of the development of Requests for Proposals; drafting and negotiating contracts with program staff; serving as contact with contracted providers monitoring contract compliance; seeking resolution of non-compliance issues; authorizing contract payments and implementation of sanctions for contract non-compliance. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * * * Extensive knowledge of the theory and principles of government accounting, procurement and contracting. * Knowledge of state procurement, risk management and contracting laws and procedures. * Ability to perform intellectual analysis and evaluations in forming a variety of administrative and program management responsibilities; to independently research and interpret information and develop evaluation methods and procedure for state and federal contracts and grants. * Attention to detail, time management and excellent organizational skills. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field. o Two years of job-related experience in finance, auditing or accounting. o Experience with contract management and procurement or related high-level administrative support is preferred. o Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis. * * How to Apply To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
