Starting wage: $13.37 to $16.71, depending on experience
Under direction of the Supervisor and Nutrition Services lead, the Cook is directly responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving the patients and cafeteria food according to the safety and sanitation standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares salad bar and preform prep work.
Participates in the assembly cooking for Breakfast.
Lunch, also making Soups, Sandwiches, serving & handling temping foods.
Adheres to all Doctors and Dietitian orders on special Diets.
Maintains a clean and sanitary working condition.
Adheres to Infection Control & Quality Assurance Policy.
Records in a variety of logs daily.
Assist in Dishwashing.
Must be able to operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
Demonstrated knowledge of the basic principles of nutrition.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good math skills
Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance at work.
Maintaining a pleasant demeanor with co-workers, supervisors, subordinates and others with whom in contact.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
Knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a high school level of education. Minimum 3 years’ experience in food service. Formal education in food service preferred.
