About The Role

Summary

The Quality Control Reviewer, as part of the Corporate Credit Administration Team, is responsible for reviewing Division credit processes, documentation, and underwriting to ensure consistency of credit related policies, procedures, and controls. The reviewer role will be responsible for communicating findings and errors to division banks. The primary purpose of the reviewer role is to conduct testing to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the controls.

The role requires the incumbent to have an extensive knowledge of commercial and consumer lending and related policies, procedures, and controls to proactively identify and mitigate emerging risks.

This is a Corporate Position, which can be located in an available bank division location across our eight-state footprint in AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, UT, WA, or WY. Click here to learn more about our bank divisions.

The midrate pay for this position is $79,730.20 + / year (calculated for Kalispell, MT). All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

Description

  • Performs Division Quality Control testing and file review. Reviews focus area documentation and completes QC excel checklists.
  • Identifies control gaps or control deficiencies in underwriting, monitoring, relationship management, and Division credit administration activities.
  • Makes recommendation for remediation through division level credit quality control reviews, generates action plan responses, reports findings to Division management.
  • Reviews required action plan documentation and verifies accuracy of other required reporting documentation provided by Divisions related to Division Quality Control findings.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and oversight of ongoing Credit Quality Control review focus areas.
  • Ensures consistent application of firm wide Credit policies and procedures.
  • Maintains understanding of current and emerging risks within the Credit area.
  • Provide training in all aspects of credit risk assessment results, QC testing, and QC findings to new junior 1st LOD Division Credit Administration and Front Line Division Staff.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.

Reviewing borrower's financial statements including the evaluation of the source(s) of repayment to determine compliance with bank's lending polices and procedures. Analyzing credit files, historical financials, projections, and credit metrics to facilitate and enable each QC review. General knowledge of the bank's credit processes, lending policies, and controls.

Travel
