HELENA HOUSING AUTHORITY Custodian/Groundskeeper in HELENA, Montana

Working at Helena Housing Authority (HHA) offers the opportunity to positively impact the lives of residents and to serve the Helena Community. HHA seeks a Custodian / Groundskeeper responsible for performing a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks in maintaining facilities, grounds, and landscaping. Duties Include: - Gathering and removal of debris and depositing it in garbage stations. - Conduct inspections for various purposes. - Operate vehicles powered equipment, hand tools. - Maintain and/or repair tools, equipment, or structures. - Upkeep of grounds e.g., lawns, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, etc. - Identify and report building maintenance needs. Qualifications to Join our Team: - High school diploma or GED and two years related janitorial and groundskeeping experience. - Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Montana Driver?s License and a driving record acceptable to insurance carriers. - Ability to work overtime, or after-hours work, if needed. - Must pass an extensive background check, including an acceptable criminal background check. Anticipated New Hire Pay Range: $17.09 to $20.36 per hour depending on qualifications. Full-time employees receive 37 days of paid time off, health insurance, and participation in the Montana Public Employee Retirement System. Benefits: On top of the hourly wage and 37 paid days off per year (holiday, sick, vacation), additional benefits include HHA coverage of $13,000 or more per year toward health coverage, retirement contributions and additional insurance for full time positions.
