Job Purpose

The Cybersecurity Engineer with a focus on Operational Technology (OT), will join our IT Services and Operations Division. This role is crucial in safeguarding our chemical manufacturing processes and infrastructure against cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity principles and OT systems, and experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably chemical manufacturing.

Principal Accountabilities

Security Design and Implementation

  • Design, implement, and manage security measures for OT systems in the chemical manufacturing environment.

  • Conduct security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities in OT systems and recommend mitigation strategies.

Incident Management and Response

  • Develop and maintain incident response plans specifically tailored for the OT environment, ensuring rapid recovery from security breaches.

  • Assist in the management of cybersecurity incidents, including detection, response, and recovery, particularly in OT settings.

Collaboration and Compliance

  • Collaborate with Digital and Manufacturing teams for the secure integration of OT and IT systems, ensuring seamless operation and security.

  • Work with external vendors and partners to ensure their services and products meet our cybersecurity standards for OT systems.

Training and Awareness

  • Provide cybersecurity awareness training focused on the unique risks and requirements associated with OT systems in the manufacturing sector.

Travel Requirements:

  • This role requires up to 20% domestic travel depending on business needs.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISSP, GICSP) are a plus.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a specific focus on OT systems in a manufacturing or industrial setting is required.

  • Strong understanding of OT technologies and protocols (e.g., SCADA, PLCs, DCS) and how they are applied in chemical manufacturing processes.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, IEC 62443) and regulations relevant to the manufacturing industry.

  • Experience with incident detection, response, and recovery in OT environments.

  • Proficient in conducting vulnerability assessments and implementing security controls in an OT setting.

Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and address cybersecurity challenges in a complex manufacturing environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.

Pay Transparency

  • The salary range for this position is $85,700 - $107,100. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
