State of Montana Data Coordinator in Helena, Montana
The Montana State Library seeks a self-motivated and experienced data coordinator who enjoys public service and has a strong customer service outlook. This position is responsible for providing technical, consumer-oriented, data management and business communications. The work of this position involves coordinating different types of data to improve agency efficiency and to better patron experiences. This position also recommends data management and reporting practices to inform agency program planning and evaluation. This position must have knowledge of current information management practices and is expected to develop and maintain a progressive knowledge of State Library programs, policies, and procedures. This position will be responsible for supervising one(1) staff member.

This position identifies and translates business requirements into data management solutions. Work requires familiarity with relevant statutes and administrative rules, collection policies and priorities, workflows, and customer needs.This position serves as the agency reporting coordinator to the Commission with input and oversight from State Library management. The incumbent research's and leverages existing and emerging data management systems to effectively manage data and support systems for access and preservation.

A bachelor's degree and at least 3 to 4 years job-related work experience. A bachelor's degree in Information Management; Business Analysis; or equivalent work-related experience is preferred.
