Job Description:

EDB is a market leading data and AI company committed to maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and security. We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as the Data Governance and Privacy Specialist, overseeing and implementing comprehensive data protection strategies.

What your impact will be:

  • Develop and implement data privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data privacy considerations into business processes and product development.

  • Conduct regular privacy assessments and audits to identify and address potential risks.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for data protection queries from internal and external stakeholders.

  • Stay informed about evolving data protection laws and industry best practices, providing guidance to ensure continuous compliance.

  • Design and deliver privacy training programs for employees to enhance awareness and comprehension of data protection principles.

  • Manage and respond to data subject access requests, ensuring timely and precise responses.

  • Work closely with IT and security teams to implement and maintain robust data security measures.

  • Represent the company in interactions with regulatory authorities and support any investigations or audits.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certifications in data privacy and protection (e.g., CIPP, CISSP) is a plus.

  • 10 years proven experience in a data privacy role, with a robust comprehension of global data protection laws and regulations.

  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Well-developed project management skills, with a track record of successfully implementing data privacy initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
