Responsibilities

Our Data IT Strategy consultants help our clients improve business value through optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of their IT capabilities. This high performing group plays a critical role in multi-disciplinary strategy teams. We enable our clients to understand, plan for, and realize strategic opportunities presented by information technology through a collection of capabilities such as Enterprise IT Management, Mission Enablement, and IT Transformation.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • At least 5-7 years of work experience of relevant experience

  • Minimum degree required: Bachelor's degree

  • Strong understanding of the data lifecycle

  • Hands-on experience with Data Governance activities:

  • Defining, implementing, and operating a data governance bodies, including typical data governance policies, processes, and standards

  • Creating data governance operating models and charters

  • Defining and implementing data governance key performance indicators

  • Operating data governance bodies

  • Working knowledge of data management industry best practices such as DAMA DMBOK, CMMI DMM, EDM Council DCAM

  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups to get buy-in on, develop, and implement data management standards, policies, and best practices

  • Experience developing data governance policies and procedures

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Experience with project and program management best practices

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

  • US Citizenship required

    Nice to Have:

  • Data Management certification from an industry recognized standards organization

  • Relevant industry certifications demonstrating knowledge of metadata management, data governance, and data cataloging

  • Working knowledge of federal requirements impacting data, such as the Federal Data Strategy, and the Evidence Act

  • Active Secret Clearance or Top-Secret Clearance

  • Working knowledge of Collibra or similar platforms used for data governance and metadata management

  • Experience with agile delivery

  • Hybrid Positions: Compensation may vary based on education, skills, experience and location. Selected candidate must be local and able to work from one of the following offices: Tysons, VA (HQ); Washington DC; Tampa, FL; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Huntsville, AL as needed. Client meetings may be required in-person.

This position is open to candidates virtually from Montana, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, Hawaii or Eastern, Pacific, and Central time zones.
