Wolters Kluwer Director, Product Software Engineering in Helena, Montana
Responsibilities
Define roadmap, training and hiring required to transition existing teams to an SRE Practice capable of supporting the needs of HLRP and the AT-HIP organization.
Ensure collaboration with Product development teams to influence their architecture towards more reliable and cost-effective operations.
Lead existing shared services team supporting a 24x7 Product Application Support practice that ensures incident management and operations for a $600M+ commercial Product portfolio.
Ensure adequate implementation and practices to support Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management so that incidents only happen once.
Guide, mentor and develop Product Application Support talent necessary to support best in class incident management.
Manage Cloud Operations teams responsible for infrastructure and deployment practices ensuring monitoring and quality of service metrics are followed.
Collaborate with engineering teams across AT-HIP as well as with our Global Business Services (GBS) ensuring company best practices are followed for DevOps, AppOps and Infrastructure Automation.
Help plan and implement the migration of legacy applications into Containers.
Own generating and presenting metrics and reporting on the performance, risk, and operations status for your organization to AT-HIP leadership and our business partners.
Manage related technology vendor relationships to drive alignment, support/SLA, and collaboration.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of related experience
At least 3 years of Kubernetes and/or Elastic Beanstalk
At least 5 years of Public Cloud experience such as Azure or Amazon Web Services leveraging both IaaS as well as respective PaaS capabilities.
At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross functional team leadership.
Know how to use automation tools like Terraform, Jenkins, or Ansible
Experience with 24/7 site monitoring and ability to own uptime & performance SLA’s
Experience with vendor and vendor contract management, including SLA review.
Experience operating in a highly matrixed environment
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications
Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and conflict resolution skills
Experience in Application Security and Privacy
Desired experience with Confluence and Jira.
Proactive, creative, and self-starting nature.
