Responsibilities:Ensures all compliance with rules, regulations and guidelines from childcare licensing, Head Start Performance Standards and other state or federal agencies;Develops and implements a process of ongoing monitoring to assure each enrolled infant or toddler receives required developmental screenings, immunizations, and wellness checks according to Head Start Performance Standards and EPSDT;Determines the individual health needs of children and families, making referrals to community health providers as needed;Assists families in the utilization of health and/or health education services;Provides resources and supports to enhance parent/child relationships and parent’s knowledge of hygiene, nutrition, child development, guidance, and safety;Attends health, dental and disability appointments with family, as indicated;Identifies children with special health needs and develops individualized health plans as necessary;Assesses, in collaboration with families and healthcare providers, nutrition, growth and development of enrolled infants and toddlers;Coordinates on-site and community child developmental screening opportunities;Provides health education opportunities for children and staff including tooth brushing, hand washing and nutrition activities;Provides monthly classroom educational opportunity;Coordinates with family and Part C provider for child transition services;Ensures children in need of Part C services are screened, referred, evaluated and able to access services in a timely manner in compliance with State and Federal law;Facilitate and monitor referrals to Part C and LEA professionals/agencies;Maintain community relationships with local health departments, Part C providers, LEA, Head Starts, to ensure seamless delivery of services;Ensure on-going monitoring, tracking, follow-up and analysis of all health and disabilities data;Maintain accurate and timely data input in the ChildPlus database within 24 hours of communication;Maintain and order first aid and health supplies for childcare sites;Excited to join our organization?
