Change Healthcare E/M Medical Coder in Helena, Montana
Overview of Position
Experienced professional coder is responsible for daily E & M coding, denial management, charge hold, RAI resolution and abstraction. The coder is responsible for escalation of coding questions and request for co ding guidance to the Coding Coordinator and/or Supervisor . Participate in internal QA audits and provide feedback in the compliance QA process.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Provide coding and abreaction of physician or professional records
Provide communications to Coordinator, Supervisors and Managers
Complete RAI's, denials, charge hold reports, and coding edits
Assist on special coding projects as assigned
What are the requirements needed for this position?
High School diploma or equivalent
Professional Coding Certification CPC, CCS or CCS-P. McKesson SCC Coding Certification required.
1-3 years Production Coding experience with both quality and productivity requirements. Lead Coder or Supervisory experience a plus. Experience auditing is preferred.
Proficient with Excel and MS office products
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Organized and detail-oriented is critical
Knowledge of medical coding
10,000 alpha / numeric keying speed
