If so, then you may be interested in the Executive Officer position in the Business Standards Division. As an Executive Officer, you will: * Review, analyze and report on program budgets. * Work directly with board members on stakeholder issues and board meeting logistics. * Monitors and answers board email boxes which involves complex program requirements. * Coordinates outputs from board meeting policymaking and ensures information is forwarded to proper roles in the division and to the public. * Assists Executive Officer 2 and board members in administrative aspects of programs. * Plan and facilitate board meetings to ensure they are held in compliance with applicable laws and rules. * Assist boards in policymaking for various professional and occupational boards. If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have the following knowledge, skills, or abilities: Knowledge of: * Performance measurements, evaluation, and objectives in context of state and federal laws, rules, policies, and program management requirements. * Program development, training needs assessment, types of training and categories. * Programs related to a public labor exchange. * Principles of federal employment and training legislation and program administration; of research and analysis techniques; of policy development; of record-keeping systems. Skills in: * Effective speaking, writing and facilitation. * Active Listening – Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made and asking questions as appropriate. * Time Management – Managing one’s own time and the time of others * Speaking – Talking to others to convey information effectively and appropriately. * Emotional Awareness – Managing one’s own emotions and working effectively in an environment where varying personalities and emotions directly impact internal and external customer outcomes. Ability to: * Effectively manage multiple projects. * Analyze interpret and apply complex regulations, policies, data, and results. * Develop training programs and apply learning/training principles. * Communicate effectively orally and in writing. * Plan, coordinate and apply a variety of general management theories, techniques, and practices. * Ability to provide public information agency and program policies and procedures * Advise and direct service providers. * Work effectively in a team environment and to demonstrate initiative and accountability to maintain a high level of productivity independently. * Focus efforts and energy on successfully attaining clear, concrete, accurate, timely and measurable outcomes of importance to the customer. * Approach changes in a positive manner and find ways to help staff through change in a positive manner. Work effectively and productively in an environment of frequent change and ambiguity. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The essential duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combinations of relevant education and experience equivalent to six years: * Relevant bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, human services, or a related field; and, * One year of program administration experience Or * Five years of directly related experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered on a case-by-case basis. How would you let us know that you’re the right person?
