This role in summary

Whirlpool is currently seeking candidates for a Regional Sales Manager. The Regional Sales Manager, West will be responsible for all sales activities for the western half of the United States for the Commercial Solutions Group at InSinkErator, which includes commercial food waste disposers, food waste pulpers, instant hot water technologies, Instant Warm Handwash System and assisting on the development of the Grind2Energy food waste to renewable energy services and solutions business. Ultimately responsible for driving growth and matching InSinkErators solutions to end-users needs to maximize profitability.

This is a remote position that must live within 45 minutes of a major U.S. airport with the expected travel for this role to be up to 50% for travel to trade shows, rep group visits, and other industry-related events

Your responsibilities will include

  • Oversee InSinkErator’s foodservice rep groups in the western region of the United States; hire, train, and develop each rep group to deliver short-term and long-term sales goals

  • Manage all day-to-day business operations for the western region, assist with price quotes, technical service questions, and all product-related questions.

  • Responsible for the training and development of the foodservice dealers and consultants in your specified region; develop and execute on delivering strategic dealer sales agreements

  • Complete territory visits to all western foodservice rep regions a minimum of 3 times per year to drive engagement while supporting our strategic business development opportunities to include product training and representing InSinkErator at trade shows

  • Develop a business plan to achieve sales targets, deliver growth, and improve InSinkErator's market share

  • Collaborate with the Customer Service team, and Technical Support Lead to quickly resolve issues with consultants, foodservice equipment dealers, and end users.

  • Work with the Marketing Manager to deliver timely and impactful sales presentations and promotions to the foodservice channel.

  • Educate all of InSinkErator's business policies to the foodservice channel

  • Take the lead on Starbucks global account management to include bi-monthly calls with domestic and international contacts at corporate headquarters. To include field visits to Starbucks corporate office and other field offices a minimum of 3 times per year and as needed. Drive new product introductions by working closely with the Director of Sales and Hot Water team.

  • Deliver new pilot opportunities for our Instant Warm Handwash System to national restaurant chains

  • Participate by bringing voice-of-customer and other industry knowledge into strategic business discussions.

  • Travel to InSinkErator Headquarters a minimum of 4 times per year and as necessary

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3+ years of field sales experience in the foodservice channel with an equipment manufacturer

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Google software

  • Outstanding written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and a professional approach to business

  • Ability to develop cross-functional relationships and get things done effectively by working with key internal and external contactsRSRWH
