General Motors Global Safety Analytics Lead in Helena, Montana

Job Description

Remote - This role is categorized as remote. This means the successful candidate may be based anywhere in the United States and is not expected to report to a GM worksite unless directed by their manager.

This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Austin, TX, Roswell, GA or Warren, MI, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.

The Role

As a Global Safety Analytics Lead , you will provide timely and quality metric development with stakeholders and business partners from multiple levels of the organization toward leading and lagging analytical method analyses.

What You'll Do

  • Lead in all aspects of the monitoring and measurement processes as detailed in the GWS WSS 4.1 element requirements.

  • Produce accurate and standardized reporting with key insights to communicate data-driven results of operational performance and alignment with GWS leadership team.

  • Collaborate with functional business units, such as Manufacturing, Non-Manufacturing, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, Risk Mitigation, Contractor Management, Medical, Engineering, and Sustainable Workplace, to develop safety related trend analyses’, publish recurring status reports, review data quality, analyze data, and explore how to better support stakeholders with trending analysis.

  • Develop lagging and leading global metrics and KPIs to track implementation of global initiatives.

  • Monitor diagnosed injury and illness incidents to ensure sites follow global recordkeeping processes.

  • Support process automation deployment of software (i.e., Cority) through the development, configuration, testing, training and deployment of business applications and reports/dashboards.

  • Explore the development of predictive analytics with Global Workplace Safety Data.

  • Guide and support the development of safety dashboards in Cority and other visualization platforms, such as Power BI.

  • Develop & deliver training materials in support of data analytics for site, regional and global users.

Additional Job Description

Your Skill & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Environmental, Health and Safety or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in metric development and trending analysis.

  • Demonstrated proficiency at consolidating data from numerous sources to create presentations for all levels of management and other stakeholders

  • Must have strong relationship building, influencing, and consultation skills and be able to establish and maintain positive work relationships with peers, management, key stakeholders, and clients.

  • Experience working with business intelligence and visualization tools, such as Power BI, Cognos, Watson, or Tableau.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety metric development and trending analysis.

  • Individuals with recognized safety certifications, such as CIH, CSP, CHMM, etc.

  • Individuals with operations or manufacturing experience.

  • Ability to lead structured meetings and deliver messages to leadership.

  • Strong analytical problem solving, priority setting, facilitation, and collaboration skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and lead through influence to accomplish challenging goals & objectives.

  • Excellent understanding of document control, update processes and tools.

Compensation:

  • The expected base compensation for this role is: $93,400.00 - $149,200.00. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
