IMSolutions is seeking Federal Gran ts Management Specialists to support our client, The Department of Interior (DOI). This position is 100% remote.
As a Mid-Level Grants Management Specialist (GM2), you will support updates of grant policies and procedures by leveraging an in-depth understanding of the entire grants lifecycle, from solicitation and evaluation of applications to closeout and audit. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, familiar with Federal financial processes, able to work well with people inside and outside of government, and comfortable understanding and ensuring others follow regulations and other requirements.
These functions will include:
Develop the Scope of Work (SOW) for potential technical assistance, feasibility study, or training, and prepare the budget that itemizes the anticipated performance cost of that SOW.
Awarding and administering grants, cooperative agreements, or other related instruments.
Designing, developing, implementing, and interpreting grants/assistance management policies, procedures, and practices.
Providing training, technical assistance, oversight, ethics advice, expertise, and consultation to program officials, awardees, review panels, applicants, recipients, and sub-recipients as needed.
Serving as a liaison between the U.S. Federal Government and external customers, recipients, and awardee community to clarify, interpret, and resolve issues.
Providing knowledge and practical resources to stakeholders to ensure that customer service is relevant, accurate, and timely.
Researching and resolving any problematic transactions.
Prepare and analyze reports using MS Excel and other available tools.
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or at least 24 credit hours in business or a business-related field.
Six (6) years of direct Federal Government grants management experience.
Knowledge of federal grant laws, regulations, and policies and understanding of business and industry grant practices.
Experience in grant financial analysis and providing technical assistance and recommendations to meet the grant's intent.
U.S. Citizenship or Foreign National with a work permit and residing in the U.S. for three (3) or more years.
Ability to pass a Federal Public Trust Clearance, which must be adjudicated favorably for you to begin working. This requires fingerprinting and reporting on your previous employment, residence, education, and financial and legal background. Candidates may be disqualified for federal or state convictions of crimes; military court-martials, delinquent federal debt including taxes and student loans, current use of illegal drugs, or lying on their application.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in business or a business-related field.
Knowledge of eRA Commons.
Certified Federal Grants Manager certification through NGMA.
Base compensation range and benefits:
$80,000 to $90,000—Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and location.
