Job Summary

The Head of Global Digital Enablement at Black & Veatch Corporation contributes to and implements enterprise digital strategy for digital marketing, digital optimization, and digital transformation in support of corporate and business strategies. The primary accountability of this leader is the productization and operationalization of next-generation digital solutions across Black & Veatch to enable customers globally.

This leader reports to the BV Chief Information Officer and is a key member of the IT Leadership Team.

This role focuses on envisioning and enabling new digital capabilities and products and delivering scalable innovation. Additionally, this role works with the Office of the Chief Technology Officer to advance our technology strategic alliances, create exclusive relationships with top technology companies, and engage with the startup community. This role engages with senior executives, business leaders, and technology professionals to enhance the digital maturity of the organization using leading digital practices.

This role leads efforts to maximize use of information and technology in executing all aspects of the business and deliver tangible and differentiating business value. This also entails unlocking business potential through disciplined application of business process automation and providing critical business insight and intelligence to facilitate decision making via analysis and mining of key business data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead digital enablement for the company and develop/refine a comprehensive and integrated multi-year enterprise digital strategy

  • Evangelize and operationalize digital strategy throughout BV to ensure continued acceptance and adoption

  • Drive cultural change to unleash the capabilities of a fully digital enterprise

  • Maintain strong knowledge of emerging external trends in digital technology solutions

  • Deliver industry leading perspectives on emerging digital trends and technologies

  • Ensure the use of technology to create client-facing, business differentiating capabilities

  • Ensure proper sponsorship and stewardship of funded digital initiatives

  • Ensure effective transition of new digital capabilities to services & delivery team

  • Lead Automation Center of Excellence and drive for business efficiency through effective use of hyper-automation

  • Lead Data Management services to enable and facilitate data-driven business decisions

  • Supervise a team of IT professionals, supporting each professional’s development plan to create an overall high performing digital team

  • Act as coach/mentor to matrix team to create an environment for digital success

Management Responsibilities

Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT or Computer Science related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • Proven track record in a senior digital leadership position

  • Relevant experience in connecting business strategy to relevant technology investment

  • Proven track record in collaborating, leading and influencing broad network of stakeholders, managing partner expectations at all levels in a matrixed global environment while improving business value delivered

  • Strong experience in working with innovative digital technologies. Expertise in enabling, implementing, and leading digital efforts in a global environment. Good understanding about systems integrations and working with vendor partner ecosystem

  • 10+ years’ digital leadership experience

  • 5+ years program management experience and proven track record on delivering complex programs and products

  • 5+ years’ experience in team leadership and supervision

  • Highly effective change agent who engages with senior stakeholders to deliver the digital program to the organization

  • Proven track record in portfolio and high investments project management (>$15M)

  • Engineering, Procurement, and Construction domain knowledge is preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 10 - 15 Years Experience Required
