The Role

The Sr. Director Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for building and leading the Program/Project Management Office (PMO) function with strategic

leadership and oversight. Defines and develops Program/Project management best practices, processes, and policies to ensure alignment with

corporate strategy and goals. Partners with multi-departmental leadership and other stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop and prioritize

programs/projects according to relevant measurement criteria. Responsible for the supervision of program/project managers to ensure that all projects

within Product, Engineering, IT, & Security programs are delivered within the defined scope, quality, time and budget requirements.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Define, communicate, train and hold the CTO's organization accountable to following the agreed upon PMO process and tools.

  • Drive and manage a multi-faceted team to deliver IT programs/projects and oversee multiple initiatives, including large/complex/cross-functional strategic and/or technical initiatives, workflow management and investment optimization functions

  • Establish strong business partnerships to resolve issues quickly and advance efforts expeditiously

  • Lead business-planning efforts and build governance frameworks to support effective communications of project updates, changes and dependencies

  • Define and track performance metrics to support the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with business stakeholders

  • Provide accurate, relevant project and portfolio reports

  • Ensure comprehensive disaster recovery architecture is maintained and operations are in place

  • Establish budget control guidelines and processes, and work with finance teams, delivery organizations and project managers to prepare accurate capital budgets, operating expense budgets and forecasts

  • Provide counsel to VP PD&T Governance & PMO to advise PD&T and other business unit leaders on opportunities to apply new technologies or other solutions to challenges facing operations, legal, and/or business services and changes or emerging risks in supplier or product status and capabilities, standards and protocols, or other industry, market, or technology factors that may influence or impact IT systems and processes

  • Accountable for vendor service management, governance and oversight on data usage and costs, and responsible for driving continuous improvement of vendor performance, service delivery, and service levels

  • Report on programs including program risks, performance status and resolution plans to senior management and the customer.

  • Responsible for planning and executing programs to strict deadlines and within program budget. This includes acquiring and managing resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver programs according to plan.

  • Proactively identify, manage and mitigate company risk associated with contract non-compliance.

  • Establish and approve costs and delivery plans for all proposals.

  • Develop intercompany plans with product divisions and operational departments who will be supplying products and services to satisfy contract deliverables.

  • Executive management of operational, product, quality and service issues associated with intercompany supply arrangements.

  • Professional development and management of key staff members through effective goal setting, performance management, training opportunities, coaching, and mentoring.

  • Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the programs.

  • Contribute to the development of the strategic business plan and work effectively within the team to achieve planned goals/objectives.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience

  • 12+ years of related experience including leadership experience, managing and/or directing a complex, dynamic IT workforce, including offshoring and outsourcing of work/resources

  • Extensive experience with managing programs implemented internationally.

  • Experience leading others in a large, highly complex and ever-changing organization.

  • High level of comfort managing competing priorities, crystallizing ideas and thoughts into plans and activities, handling ambiguity constructively, and rationalizing on strategic and managerial levels.

  • Able to build relationships with business and technology partners to influence and collaborate across the organization, strengthen the role of IT, implement initiatives and plans and deliver projects on time and on budget.

  • Sense of urgency, accountability and holds same standards for the department.

  • High achiever, results-oriented, and decisive hands-on manager with project management experience in a technology environment

  • Strong business acumen

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$171,447 - $228,596 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.

$180,020 - $240,026 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.

$188,592 - $251,456 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
