This position with unit management to identify patterns and opportunities across services and units to assist in better management of human resources (HR). The position consults on systematic projects such as career ladders, performance management systems, division-wide classification reviews and organizational analysis in response to reorganizations. The position resolves problems such as systematic recruitment and retention issues and classification grievances. The position tracks, monitors and ensures satisfactory coordination and completion of all services. _Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Behaviors):_ Required for the first day of work: · Knowledge of employment law, human resources principles and practices, and a wide range of human resources services. · Skilled in written and oral communication, including customer service. · Skilled in prioritizing, meeting deadlines, multi-tasking, and flexibility. · Ability to understand the differing managerial roles within the agency hierarchical structure and to modify approach accordingly. · Ability to remain neutral under adversarial circumstances. · Ability to influence best practice adherence while providing advice and outstanding customer service. · Ability to identify issues and recommend process improvements. · Ability to analyze patterns and identify issues. · Ability to demonstrate discretion, be persuasive and engender good will. · Ability to influence best practice adherence while providing advice and outstanding customer service. · Ability to model high standards of honesty, integrity, trust, openness, and respect for the individual. · Ability to present training to managers and human resource professionals. · Ability to Collaboratively work in a team-based environment. · Ability to build and maintain confidentiality, professional relationships, and act professionally under stressful circumstances. · Ability to guide and train others. · Ability to work in a team with division and HR Generalist.
