Meta Industry Manager, Specialized - Technology, Mobile, and Connectivity in Helena, Montana

Summary:

Facebook is seeking an experienced sales and marketing leader with demonstrated success managing established and emerging business categories. The Industry Manager will lead the Facebook monetization strategy for select segments of the Technology, Mobile, and Connectivity business within the US. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally to develop scalable solutions for their clients and their teams. They will build and manage a strategically focused/consultative sales team, selling Facebook’s advertising solutions to advertisers. We are looking for a self-starter who has demonstrated success, dealing with ambiguity, successfully managing teams and problem-solving leadership with limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have management experience in a sales environment as well as extensive experience selling cross-network online marketing solutions such as integrated sponsorships, display advertising, and traditional brand media within the Technology, Mobile, and Connectivity industry.

Required Skills:

Industry Manager, Specialized - Technology, Mobile, and Connectivity Responsibilities:

  1. Build, develop, and maintain a high performing team

  2. Act as player/coach by coaching team to pursue long-term opportunities, balanced by short-term sales strategies

  3. Own and be accountable for quarterly and yearly revenue goals, pipeline management and growth goals across a diversified book of business

  4. Develop a deep understanding of the Technology, Mobile, and Connectivity industries, and its intersection with Facebook's goals and priorities

  5. Nurture VP through C-suite external client relationships to drive business impact

  6. Work cross-functionally with In-Market teams, Global Regions, Business Operations, Measurement, Creative, Global Business Marketing, and Product Marketing to optimize our client efforts

  7. Consult with Product Marketing to help shape product development in support of client needs

  8. Guide the creation of persuasive presentations and stories that demonstrate the value of Facebook to clients for both B2C and B2B marketing

  9. Increase the effectiveness of the team by recognizing opportunities for new approaches

  10. Develop and implement best practices for client interaction, sales and services for Facebook, including a strong understanding of working with advertisers and agencies

  11. Communicate strategic information and context from the company and organization to the team, manager, and partners to be successful

  12. Assign projects aligned with team strengths, skills and motivations, and adjusts management style to match the needs of the individual

  13. Build a culture where differences are appreciated and everyone feels valued and builds internal community, drives inclusion

  14. Show care by understanding what matters most to people and recognizes people for their contributions

  15. Give and seek timely feedback and asks the same of the team

  16. Identify skills needed for the role, interviews, hires, and on-boards new employees to the team

  17. With minimal guidance, ensure the team is healthy and begin to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with manager

  18. Help people build and sustain productive relationships

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Experience building Direct Response and Brand advertising campaigns

  2. 5 or more years of experience managing a team

  3. Experience building relationships with top marketing decision makers at brands and agencies

  4. Experience driving revenue growth with emerging opportunities and established partnerships

  5. Facebook and Instagram user with knowledge of the media landscape, reseller channels and vertical markets

  6. Communication and presentation experience with an emphasis on translating insights, product information, and data in to client value

  7. Knowledge of the advertising technology and data/performance measurement trends

  8. Demonstrated experience using advertising data to craft media strategy

  9. 10 or more years of experience with sales or marketing

  10. 5 or more years of experience with digital media

  11. Storyteller with experience communicating the benefit of marketing opportunities to clients

  12. Proven experience as a leader of change, achieving operational excellence by introducing performance measures, processes and systems
