About this Opportunity Job Overview We are currently seeking a candidate to fill the role of an Insurance Forms Compliance Specialist in our Forms Bureau. The Forms Bureau ensures compliance of insurance contracts, policies, endorsements, riders, applications, and other policy forms with Montana laws and rules.The successful candidate in this position performs duties that ensure all insurance products issued in the state provide protection for Montana consumers by meeting statutory requirements. This entails significant reading and understanding of insurance contract language. What can you offer us? The successful candidate will be responsible for the following essential functions and other similar tasks: * Reviewing insurance forms to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. * Reviewing and analyzing contract language and articulating areas of non-compliance to insurance companies to assist them with revising forms to comply with Montana laws and statutes. * Identifying opportunities for process improvement and assisting with implementing strategies to enhance form compliance practices within the agency. Minimum Educational and Experience Requirement: * The knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform this job are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, and one year of job related/insurance experience, or a minimum of four years of job-related/insurance experience. Preferred Education and Experience: · Education or experience within the insurance industry that includes multiple lines of insurance business to include the following: Life and Disability (Health and Long-Term Care) insurance, and/or Property and Casualty insurance; or · Experience within the legal industry that includes reviewing regulations, contracts, and other legal documents, such as a paralegal. *Alternate combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis. *Competencies: The ideal candidate should exhibit the following competencies: * Strong customer-focus, attention-to-detail, and follow-through. * Strong organization skills. * Must be able to exercise sound judgement and make decisions. * Ability to interpret and communicate laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. * Effective time management skills, flexibility, and multi-tasking abilities. * Must be able to work with minimal to no supervision. * Ability to build, establish, and maintain effecting working relationships with other department and agency employees, the insurance industry, and the public. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to include knowledge and application of effective business writing, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
