Overview of Job Function:

Verint is seeking a Security Engineer Intern who will use a combination of programming knowledge, threat management, and communication skills to automate and integrate cybersecurity at every stage of the product lifecycle.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute scheduled audits of internal processes and procedural adherence.

  • Coordinate with internal and external resources to ensure evidence is gathered thoroughly and in a timely manner.

  • Identify gaps in processes, documentation, or systems that need to be addressed and present to management for remediation.

  • Support external annual audits for PCI-DSS, FedRAMP, HITRUST, SOC2, etc. including:

  • Manage evidence request lists.

  • Ensure requested evidence is adequately covered as part of the audit schedule.

  • Provide all requested evidence in a timely manner.

  • Follow up on identified remediations to ensure completion.

  • Maintain compliance and security awareness of new projects and clients.

  • Schedule security reviews for all new client projects.

  • Stay up to date with any regulatory changes relevant to the industry.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in CIS, CS, or a related field

  • Minimum of 0-1 years' experience in a professional environment

  • Effective written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Organizational skills

  • Ability to establish priorities and successfully manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to manage many details simultaneously and follow up accordingly.

  • Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of PCI, HIPPA, GDPR, and ISO 27001:13 requirements

  • Knowledge in industry benchmarking CIS standards

  • Knowledge in applying audit principals, concepts, techniques, and practices.

  • Ability to manage projects to completion in an efficient manner.

  • Task orientated.
