Pinion IT Technician in Helena, Montana
Pinion Technology Core (PTC) provides tailored IT services and network support for clients. As an IT Technician you will address a variety of IT related isues with a focus on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HP printers and related equipment. You will work in a technical support role, addressing customer issues both remotely and on-site. Your expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing IT equipment will be crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and the smooth functioning of IT/printing solutions.Our best technicians have a problem-solving mindset, take initiative, and have a willingness to learn. What you’ll be doing:-Receive and analyze customer complaints regarding general IT issues and printer malfunctions, errors, and performance issues-Identify and troubleshoot printer problems utilizing technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and general expertise-Visit customer locations to perform in-depth diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on printers and related equipment-Provide remote support to customers, when appropriate, by guiding them through troubleshooting steps and suggesting solutions-Perform component-level repairs, replacement of factory parts, and calibration to restore and maintain printer functionality-Maintain detailed records on all customer interactions, diagnoses, repairs, and solutions provided-Stay up-to-date on latest printer models, technologies, and advancements What you’ll need for this position:-Knowledge of a broad range of multi-user computer systems, applications, virtual systems and equipment-Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing hardware, software, and networking issues-Strong understanding of printer components, mechanisms, and technologies-Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and provide accurate, dependable service-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail-Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members-Ability to work independently -Valid driver's license and the ability to be on-site with customers up to 80% of the timeBonus:Experience with HP printers and warranty repairsWhat’s in it for you:-Ability to learn under a team of seasoned IT professionals as well as pursue external training/certification-A people-centered culture, with fun included among our core firm values-More freedom to explore your areas of interest-Excellent pay, flexibility, and benefits including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401k, profit sharing, paid holidays, flexible work arrangements, and paid leave.Compensation: In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case.
