RES Lead Blade Repair Technician in Helena, Montana

Summary:
The Lead Blade Repair Technician will lead a team of technicians in all aspects of composite blade repair. Day to day tasks may include holding daily safety briefings, organizing logistics, and directs work instruction.
Requirements:
Performs Blade Repair and Maintenance in accordance with the technical and safety documentation provided.
Oversees and coordinates the work of subordinate Blade Repair Technician.
Makes proper use and conservation of equipment (PPE, rope access devices, ropes, etc.) and of the material means assigned for the execution of tasks such as tools for repairing blades, cameras, telescopes, etc.
Maintains and repairs composite blades and various turbine models.
Reports to, assists and supports supervisors in coordination and execution of maintenance and repair activity of wind turbine blades, nacelles, composite components.
Climbs wind towers and access wind turbines to perform composites repair and maintenance tasks.
Assists in transportation, setup and the operation of up-tower blade access mechanism.
Supports in the performance of rope, platform, and ground access composite repairs on multiple turbine manufactures.
Coordinates and ensures mobilization of all repair equipment to site.
Performs major component replacement, which will primarily focus on blades.
Assures proper storage, maintenance and handling of all blade repair service equipment.
Completes reports/work orders carried out in order to provide the necessary information for the invoicing of the services to the clients.
Reports the necessary information for the work to the technical manager and the client.
Informs their Manager on the development, progress and status of the work and the results obtained.
Completes and submits all required documentation (expense sheet, vehicles, credit cards) timely in accordance with established deadlines.
Comprehends, exemplifies and enforces the company's safety and quality standards.
Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies and Procedures.

Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) occurs before scopes of work commence.

Qualifications:
High school/GED General Education required.
Associates Degree related Technical Degree preferred.
Certification OSHA 10/30 preferred.
Certification GWO Basic Safety required.
Certification/ Training in Composite Blade Repair required.
Must possess or be able to obtain a Class C CDL.
Bilingual in Spanish is required.
Knowledge and handling of the tools used for repair tasks (orbitals, grinders, stripper, vacuum pumps, conductivity meters, etc.)
Knowledge and control by means of technical and safety data sheets of the chemical products used in blade repair tasks for their correct application (epoxy/polyester resin, polyurethane/methacrylate adhesives, polyurethane paints/coatings, fillers, etc.).
Functional Competencies Include: Collaboration, Attention to Detail, Ethics & Integrity, Communication and Prioritization.
Domestictravel76-100% required.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Anticipated base salary range: $38.50 - $45.20
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
