Wolters Kluwer CT Corporation (CT) Division is looking for a Lead Software Engineer, Salesforce CPQ & Billing to join CT Corp (CT), a rapidly growing enterprise organization with a $640 million revenue portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for a leader to drive the transformation of Quote and Billing functions for our sales, service, and billing operations.
We are seeking a talented Lead Salesforce Engineer with experience in Salesforce CPQ (Configure Price Quote) and Salesforce Billing modules to join our team. The Lead Salesforce Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining CPQ and Billing solutions tailored to our business needs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Salesforce CPQ and Billing, an excellent understanding of billing concepts, and strong technical skills in Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning to extend and enhance the out-of-the-box Salesforce capabilities.
Location/Office : The position is remote but requires occasional travel to our NYC office. Strong preference for the East Coast/EST and/or CST time zone.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements related to pricing, quoting, and billing processes
Design, develop, and implement Salesforce CPQ and Billing solutions working with architecture and other disciplines
Provide technical expertise and guidance to support ongoing Salesforce CPQ and Billing system enhancements and improvements
Configure and customize Salesforce CPQ and Billing to meet business needs, including product catalog setup, pricing rules, quote and invoice templates, invoice generation/schedulers, credits and payment processing, and revenue recognition
Implement and optimize subscription billing processes and revenue recognition methodologies within Salesforce Billing. Good knowledge of compliance and accounting standards.
Knowledge of payment gateways, CyberSource, chase payment tech integrations, e-payments, and ACH processing
Understanding of GL and processes of reconciliation. Invoicing, AR/AP understanding
Integrate Salesforce CPQ and Billing with other systems, such as ERP (JD Edwards/Oracle, SAP) and payment processing platforms, tax engines (Vertex) to ensure seamless data flow
Develop and maintain Apex code, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components to extend CPQ and Billing functionality when needed
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and system errors, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
Stay current with Salesforce CPQ & Salesforce Billing updates and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
Demo/train end-users and stakeholders on Salesforce CPQ and Salesforce Billing functionalities and processes as needed
Document system configurations, customizations, and technical specifications.
Ensure that all solutions comply with industry best practices and Salesforce standards for security, data privacy, and governance.
Provide technical leadership and coordination with both onsite and offshore software engineers, fostering effective collaboration, resolving challenges, and ensuring alignment with release/sprint goals.
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development with a programming background
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Salesforce CPQ
Strong understanding of Salesforce CPQ concepts, including product catalog, pricing, quotes, and contracts
Proficiency in billing processes
Good understanding of financial/accounting concepts related to invoices, Payments, Credit/debit Notes, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable (AR)
Extensive hands-on experience in configuring and customizing CPQ and Billing capabilities
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills to set up and interpret logic, data tables, and rule relationships
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in the Salesforce platform, Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning
Experience leading and working software development teams that include onsite, distributed, and offshore teams
Self-motivated individual with excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high-quality work, both personally and at a team level
PREFERRED Certifications:
Certified Salesforce CPQ Specialist
Certified Salesforce Billing Specialist
Salesforce Certified Administrator
Preferred experience
Experience integrating with JD Edwards, Vertex, DocuSign, etc.

Compensation:
Target salary range CA, CT, CO, NY, WA:: $114,100-$159,900
