Carroll College Librarian - Electronic Resources in Helena, Montana

Description: Carroll College is seeking an innovative and collaborative individual knowledgeable about current issues and trends in Electronic Resources Management (ERM) to manage the electronic resources and serials operations of the Corette Library. We seek a skilled librarian for this 11-month benefitted, 35 hour per week position who will be responsible for:•Sharing administrative duties for our library services platform (Alma/Primo) with the Systems & Web Services Librarian;•Coordinating the evaluation, acquisition, marketing, and maintenance of electronic and print journals and databases, including shared institutional and consortia resources;* Tracking and analyzing usage statistics, along with trends and ongoing developments in areas related to the entire life cycle of e-resources, to inform future collections, resource management workflow, and budget decisions and for annual reporting purposes;* Troubleshooting access issues within discovery service, knowledge base, and link resolver;* Collaborating with faculty and library staff to develop and offer classroom instruction and information literacy guides and programs;* Providing user-centered reference assistance and support to students, faculty, staff, and community patrons;* Working specified hours providing service at the library’s information desk, including some evening shifts, which could include a rotating monthly weekend shift;* Assisting the Circulation Supervisor in supervising and managing library student workers;* Representing Carroll College in TRAILS, particularly on the E-Resources Committee (and, if of interest, the Collection Development Committee).Qualifications: The successful candidate will have Bachelor’s Degree in related field, plus one year of electronic resources work experience in an academic library or similar setting as well as knowledge of, or experience with, library-specific information systems and technologies, such as integrated library systems, content management systems, and institutional repositories. Masters in Library Science preferred. Must have commitment and demonstrated ability to cooperate in a team environment and maintain effective and respectful working relationships with all library personnel; and excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as a strong service orientation. Preferred candidates will have knowledge of Primo/Alma software and experience managing electronic resources and/or serials.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
