Shellie's Country Cafe Line Cook in Helena, Montana

A line cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to Shellie’s recipes and menu specifications. This includes preparing ingredients, cooking food to order, plating dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.ResponsibilitiesPrepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, preparing meats, and measuring ingredients.Cook food according to recipes and menu specifications.Plate dishes and ensure that they are presented in an attractive and appetizing manner.Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including cleaning equipment and utensils, and disposing of waste.Monitor food inventory and notify the kitchen manager when supplies are running low.Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and storage techniques.Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared and served in a timely manner.Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager.SkillsMaintain strong communication and teamwork skills.Show ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.Have willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Have ability to stand for long periods of time.Can lift and carry heavy objects, such as pots and pans.BenefitsFull time employees are eligible for health insurance benefits upon successful completion of probationary period.Full time line cooks are included in a tip share upon successful completion of probationary period.Employee meals and discounts.Advanced wage payment with Toast Pay Card, making wages accessible before payday.Great family environment with local business owners.Flexible schedules.
