Required Skills:

Machine Learning Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Develop highly scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning, data regression, and rules based models

  2. Suggest, collect and synthesize requirements and create effective feature roadmap

  3. Code deliverables in tandem with the engineering team

  4. Adapt standard machine learning methods to best exploit modern parallel environments (e.g. distributed clusters, multicore SMP, and GPU)

  5. Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted (remote work benefit)

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Employer will accept a Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Engineering, Accounting, Mathematics, Physics, or related field. Position also requires completion of a university-level course/research project/internship/thesis, or 6 months of experience in the following:

  2. Machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, data mining or artificial intelligence

  3. Building machine learning models for business application

  4. Hadoop, HBase, Pig, MapReduce, Sawzall, Bigtable, or Spark

  5. Developing and debugging in C, C++, or Java

  6. Scripting languages: Perl, Python, PHP, or shell scripts

  7. Developing text processing algorithms
