Job Summary
As the Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation for new and existing business application software, and production support for Mainframe systems, using COBOL, IMS, DB2 and JCL.
Job Description
We are seeking a Mainframe Developer to be responsible for analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation for new and existing business application software, and production support for Mainframe systems, using COBOL, IMS, DB2 and JCL. This position will be full-time and remote.
What You’ll Do
Responsible for analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation for new and existing business application software, and production support for Mainframe systems, using COBOL, IMS, DB2 and JCL
Responsible for Interface development and report development
Test, code and debug programs from internal design parameters
Support in system and user acceptance testing effort
Review, analyze and modify programming systems inclusive of coding, debugging, testing, and implementing programs
What You'll Need
Required:
Seven (7) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with IMS DC
Seven (7) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with IMS DB
Seven (7) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with COBOL
Seven (7) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with DB2
Seven (7) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with JCL
Must be capable of working at a broad technical level in all phases of the application systems project life cycle
Exceptional communication skills are required
Must be able to apply business knowledge and technical skills to systems development
Desired:

Great attention to detail and time-management skills
BS/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field or equivalent experience
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitors
