The Integrity and Risk Launches team is part of Facebook’s Global Operations Customer & Product Operations team that provides a suite of services as our Product Management, Policy, Engineering, and Operations partners design new product solutions. The Launches Operations team are the operational experts for Facebook’s ever-growing suite of products. In this environment, new ideas quickly become extraordinary products, services, and community experiences. The new suite of products we're building for Facebook and Instagram are emerging, experimental and have the potential for explosive growth—we're looking for an experienced people manager to join the Integrity and Risk Launches (IRL) team and lead this team. As the leader of this team you will be responsible for growing an operations function that can scale to support numerous product launch functions and that capitalizes on their launches-specific expertise. You will be responsible for ensuring the team can swiftly and successfully deliver best-in-class tooling, protocol and staffing solutions. You will be accountable for growing an operations excellence function owning demand planning, metrics, quality and technical roadmaps in support of elevating the operational excellence of the integrity & risk launches org.Successful candidates are demonstrated leaders with experience managing teams with a large, mission critical scope across product and operational landscapes. You love to coach and develop high performing individuals. You are an energetic, passionate leader with a keen eye for developing strategic processes and ensuring efficiency by design. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can identify new opportunities to ensure best-in-class risk mitigation that keeps up with rapidly changing business objectives. You enjoy being challenged by balancing day-to-day projects, while also identifying innovative ways to solve large-scale problems upstream.
Ensure your team’s successful launch of new products towards meeting its stated cost, quality, schedule, and availability goals
as well as securing tools, technology, staffing, training and documentation plans are in place for our partners who manage the global workforce.
Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional partners necessary to drive success, (including data teams, engineering, product, privacy, and legal) and collaborate with them to ensure product responsibility, reliability, quality, compliance and go-to-market strategies are met as we launch new Facebook and Instagram products.
Provide strong and visionary leadership to your team of Project Managers, enhance and develop a strong team culture of trust and commitment to impact
including driving the vision, setting and communicating team and individual goals, strategy, tactics and behaviors required to achieve those goals.
Act as a thought leader for optimizing operational design, driving process efficiencies, and balanced resource allocation.
Develop an in-depth understanding of how Facebook operationalizes enforcement and labeling at scale, ensuring constant focus on automation and process efficiency to seamlessly balance risk mitigation and operational efficiency.
5+ years of people management experience, 10+ years of experience working in tech, consulting, or an operational capacity, 2+ years of experience with product or consumer operations.
Experience building and managing relationships with cross-functional leadership and stakeholders at a project and program level.
Experience involving analytical rigor as typically seen in, but not restricted to, functions like finance, business operations, data teams, etc. or industries like consulting, banking, etc.
Problem solving experience with business problems (commercial, operational, organizational) using large databases and qualitative information from various sources.
Experience presenting business and technical content to senior stakeholders, peers and general audiences, leveraging story-telling, charts for visualization and use of lookup and other functions with SQL/Tableau/Power BI/visualization tools.
BA/BS in an empathetic analytics or social field or (e.g. Human Rights, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, User Research, or related field).
Experience working in a technology company or consulting firm.
Experience driving cross-functional change in a large organization.
