Deloitte Market Data Vendor Relationship Manager in Helena, Montana

The Audit & Assurance Marketplace Intelligence team (Marketplace Intelligence) is a small, multidisciplinary team that creates cutting-edge applications to help fuel the growth of the Audit business. The team consists of highly skilled designers, researchers, data analysts, software architects and developers. The work we do is agile, innovative and is critical to support leadership strategic decision-making, and enable excellent client service and growth of our Audit and Assurance practice.

Our applications use content and data provided by a variety of third-party vendors. The Marketplace Intelligence team is looking for an experienced "Market Data Vendor Relationship Manager" to manage our portfolio of subscriptions. The successful candidate will work closely with our team leader and a variety of other stakeholders including: application development team and product owners, procurement, general counsel, data analysts, as well as our vendor representatives. Responsibilities are listed below, and include adhering to third party risk management compliance, monitoring data quality, engaging with vendors to troubleshoot issues and proactively looking for potential new data sources to meet ever-changing business needs.

The work you will do

  • Develop a deep understanding of available data and how it is used by applications in the Marketplace Intelligence portfolio to identify data gaps, opportunities, and risks.

  • Continually assess content spend and value -- obtain best value, reduce spend as possible, avoid product overlap, ascertain changing business needs, and identify under-used content

  • Respond to data issues, coordinate resolution with vendor and stakeholders

  • Oversee vendor contracts; work with Procurement and legal to update as necessary

  • Set up product demonstrations with content providers; coordinate stakeholder evaluations

  • Submit invoices for payment, using Accounts Payable online system

  • Monitor and track subscription content budget, prepare quarterly forecasting

  • Monitor an ever-changing business landscape and anticipate the need for new content sources

  • Assist team leader as needed

  • Bachelor's degree; 3+ years of Vendor Management or procurement experience

  • Consistent, demonstrated high performer

  • Audit background, understanding of Audit-related data a plus

  • Understanding of web applications and data feeds a plus
