Position

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the strategic communications initiatives, including brand messaging development and management, execution and project management of strategic communications programs for external and internal engagement, and other special projects with direct reporting to the Communications Manager.

We’re looking for someone early in their career with an amazing “can do” attitude who is passionate about the opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way to making healthcare better. Must be willing to tackle any task from strategic presentations and blog posts to the nuts and bolts.

Duties

  • Support the tactical execution of communications programs including the development and execution of internal and external newsletters.

  • Draft blogs and other content to strategically position the company for business objectives within the public and scientific communities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their programs and needs to communicate them to customers.

  • Support press relations team with awards and other applications that further develop the company.

  • Support field marketing efforts, including development of marketing materials.

  • Monitor the competitive landscape and provide regular updates and recommendations.

Job Requirements

  • Strong writing skills and ability to communicate complex concepts into simple, user-friendly messages for multiple audience types

  • Early career experience working on brand and marketing campaigns with a track record of creating exceptional marketing assets including web pages, emails, printed materials, collateral, and more.

  • Strong organization and time management skills that enable the employee to prioritize and manage a high volume of detailed work with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A positive and professional team player attitude that works well under pressure and is flexible and responsible.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel),

  • Experience in these online communications tools a plus: WordPress, Hubspot, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.

Experience/Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field or relevant years of experience building, leading and driving marketing and communications teams.

  • 2 -5 years of experience within marketing or communications integrated brand campaign management and external relations

  • Strong writing samples

  • Location: Preference for California or Texas, although remote in the US will also be considered
