With a doctrine of service, honor, and justice, this statewide organization provides the best in critical, accurate, and timely service to protect our citizens.* * Job Overview: This position is anAuditor/Analystfor the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. The position is responsible to audit complex financial records, medical billing, and analysis of evidence obtained to determine if laws or regulations were violated; to gather and analyze evidence for presentation in judicial and administrative proceedings; to determine the financial loss by Montana Medicaid or individuals; to provide support and case direction to criminal investigators and attorneys in the investigation, preparation and presentation of cases; and to coordinate the audit and analysis portion of the cases. The Auditor is responsible for professional work by performing highly technical audits and analysis of Medicaid Program providers or by performing comprehensive review of such work as performed by other auditors. The Auditor is responsible for conducting investigative audits and analysis of financial records of health care providers. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. * Three years of directly related experience. * Other combinations of education or experience may be substituted. The position requires knowledge of the principles and practices of investigation; rules of evidence; state and federal consumer protection laws and concepts; civil, criminal, and administrative rules, laws, and penalties; constitutional rights of individuals (e.g., privacy, property, and due process rights); business administration principles and practices; public information and education; presentation methods and techniques; business English, spelling, and grammar; conflict resolution.* * Special Instructions: The selection procedures to be used in evaluating the applicant's qualification may include, but are not limited to, an evaluation of the résumé and cover letter, a structured interview, performance test, academic transcripts, reference/background checks and fingerprint checks.
