Data Analytics team, which is part of the Data Analytics, Technology and Product Organization of GBT, is at the forefront of providing an extensive range of professional reporting services which among others includes analysis about travel spend and trends, travel booking behavior or supplier spend.
- The Data Analytics team is looking to backfill a MI Analyst role based in the US, virtually from home.
To work with your allocated clients as well as stakeholders within the business to understand data requirements and then translate requirements into effective reporting, visualization and actionable insights.
To provide information and advice to all GBT/HRG Client Services to enable them to recognize and highlight opportunities.
To develop report solutions within scope and budget, deliver reports internally and to clients in high quality and on time and in accordance with internal processes/workflows.
To support the streamlining and automation of ad-hoc and standardized reporting functions and create efficiencies in the process for producing data analytics.
To identify data quality issues and support internal teams in resolving those issues.
Actively drive the solution of any data quality issues.
Key Areas of Activity:
Analysis and interpretation of airline, hotel, car rental and other travel data using Excel, Access, and other MI/BI tools.
Working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver accurate information and analysis to clients.
Managing all analytical and data aspects of client reporting and consulting projects.
Playing an active role in generating ideas for new models, reports and analysis which could be developed to enhance our clients ability to effectively manage travel program and priorities.

Fully proficient with GBT/HRG MI/BI reporting tools and capabilities.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Strong organization, analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
Willingness to work flexible hours, including those needed to support customers in other regions.
Experiences in creating and automating client reporting deliverables with a quality control process.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and advanced user functions.
Basic knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
Experience in working with BI tool such as Alteryx, Tableau, Birst, QlikView, MS Power BI, SAP Crystal Reporting and Micro Strategy is desirable.
Very strong analytical skills with demonstrable ability to interpret all data sources in order to identify areas of opportunities and recommend solutions.
Excellent time management skills and demonstrable consistency in meeting agreed deadlines / time-frames in a pressurized environment.
Ability to work on own initiative without the need for significant supervision.
Result-driven and analytical problem-solving ability.
Ability to work as an active and participating member of a team.
Strong attention to detail, analytical mind and conscientious approach.
