Meta Music Data Analyst, Media Analytics in Helena, Montana
Summary:
Meta is seeking a Music Data Analyst to join the Content Strategy & Acquisitions (CS&A) team. The CS&A team works closely with our product and partnerships teams to help build and invest in content businesses across the Meta Family of Apps.The Media Analytics team within CS&A serves as a trusted thought partner in building our content businesses. We synthesize data and develop insights about content, audiences and products to inform decisions about content and music investments for products such as Instagram Reels, Facebook Watch and Messenger Co-Watch. The music analytics function is responsible for supporting the Music Business Development & Partnerships team in working with music industry partners and with Meta product teams on how music is experienced in Meta products, including Facebook and Instagram.The successful candidate is knowledgeable and passionate about the music industry and the creation of new content businesses. This individual will report to the Music Analytics Manager. They must have experience effectively collaborating across a diverse organization of engineering, product and business entities to drive results.

Music Data Analyst, Media Analytics Responsibilities:
Build dashboards for the Music Business Development & Partnerships team to understand music trends and performance across our products
Build and execute data project roadmaps such as developing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for assessing success of content investments
Develop and maintain quality control of usage statistics regularly provided to music labels and publishers
Respond to and aggregate data requests into common use cases in order to help the Partnerships team drive insights about label and publishing partners
Provide analytical support across key planning processes for the Music Business Development & Partnerships team including tiering, goaling, forecasting and resource planning
Build partnerships within internal teams and stakeholders, including Product, Operations and Engineering to drive analysis and insights on business drivers
Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of experience working in business intelligence, data analytics or equivalent function
3+ years of experience with SQL (Oracle, Vertica, Hive, MySQL, etc.)
BA/BS degree

Experience with data management, specifically with validating and auditing data and reports from multiple systems
Experience using data access tools and building visualizations using large datasets and multiple data sources
Experience in financial modeling, ROI analysis, forecasting, data analysis and experience seeing beyond numbers to drive sound decision-making from complex datasets
Experience influencing product development decisions with data
Experience with the music business landscape
Experience collaborating and leading cross-functionally with experience building consensus among multiple stakeholders in an entrepreneurial, high-expectation environment
Quantitative analytical and communication skills
