In this position...

  • Ensure that the Head of Federal Government Affairs schedule and interactions with colleagues in Dearborn and government partners are executed seamlessly and with appropriate discretion.

  • You will help organize and support meetings and events to facilitate Ford’s role as a reliable government partner.

  • You will get to work directly with responsibilities that are directly related to the operations surrounding Capitol Hill.

What you'll do...

  • Provide administrative support the Head of Federal Government Affairs, including scheduling, travel, meeting logistics, and submitting expense reports.

  • Execute administrative responsibilities related to the budget with corporate finance.

  • Research, facilitate, track logistics for Federal Government Affairs DC based events, including venue selection, vendor management, and budget adherence, to ensure successful execution and policy impact.

  • Responsible for Federal Team meeting set up and breakdown, catering, supply requests.

  • Assist with additional day-to-day operational support for the office as needed.

  • Assist as needed with drafting internal materials, presentations, and support for the team.

  • Deliver budget and audit responsibilities on deadline and with thorough attention to detail including managing and processing check requests

  • Schedule communications between Ford’s leadership and government officials

  • Assist in the management of relationships with outside legal and government affairs consultants and trade association partners

  • Build strong internal relationships with members of the global government affairs team

  • Travel outside of Washington, DC would be exceptional

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum 3 years' related experience

Even better, you may have...

  • Demonstrated experience, interest, and commitment to administrative management and executive scheduling with the corresponding confidentiality, trust, and ethical behavior required

  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word. Experience in basic accounting and finance systems preferred

  • Self-motivated, dependable, ability to prioritize in a very fast-paced environment and capacity to effectively function as part of a team

  • Understanding of Capitol Hill

  • Familiarity with working in Washington, DC

This position is a salary grade 4.

This position is a range of salary grades SG4 .
