Oracle Oracle Cloud PaaS Software Engineer in Helena, Montana

Job Description

The Cloud PaaS Engineer is a hands-on role focused on assisting Oracle customer implement best practices to maximize the value of products running on Oracle Cloud. This is a PaaS Cloud engineer role role that is accountable for building & supporting custom integration cloud deployments – which entails architectural design review sessions, build, specific implementation projects and/or Proofs of Concepts. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in application development, integration technology, cloud coding languages and automation.

As a member of the Customer Success Services organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance.

Responsibilities

As an Advisory Systems Engineer, you are expected to be an expert member of the problem-solving/avoidance team and be highly skilled in solving extremely complex (often previously unknown), critical customer issues. Performing the assigned duties with a high level of autonomy and reporting to management on customer status and technical matters on a regular basis, you will be expected to work with very limited guidance from management. Further, the Advisory Systems Engineer is sought by customers and Oracle employees to provide expert technical advice.

Responsibilities

  • Having good experience in design and hands-on delivery experience on Oracle Integration Cloud, Process Cloud Service, B2B and Visual Builder Cloud Service technologies

  • Implementing and support the complex integration scenarios including integrations with on-premise as well as SaaS applications

  • Ability to develop reusable components and help develop a strong collaborative environment

  • Apply best integration practices and SOA concepts (including common patterns and frameworks) to solution design and implementation

  • Ability to Lead a team of integration specialists and guide and mentoring the team

  • Good understanding and working knowledge of Oracle fusion middleware products.

  • Accelerate consumption in high potential customer accounts by providing deep technical expertise. Assist in deployment of projects, run and maintain of cloud deployments, Creation and delivery of technical content, with a dedicated focus on Oracle SaaS & PaaS cloud services.

  • Perform root cause analyses of the critical issues and develop permanent code-fixes/configurations or tuning

  • Engage with a wide cross section of internal and external stakeholders - development, support, Oracle consulting services, and third party partners to drive Oracle Cloud adoption efforts.

Required Skills

  • At least 5+ years hands-on experience in Oracle Integration Cloud, VBCS, PCS and B2B services

  • At least 7+ years of hands-on experience working with Oracle SOA Suite, MFT, OSB, SOAP/REST Web services, XML/XSD/XSLT and WSDL/WADL

  • Ability to leverage pre-built integrations, cloud adapters, On-Prem adapters, connections etc.

  • Ability to work closely with customer teams and convert requirements into solution design

  • Having good knowledge of tech documentation preparation, understanding functional specs.

  • Should have good client interfacing and consulting skills and work with multiple business Stake Holders

  • Working experience in Java/J2EE technologies is an added advantage

  • Working knowledge of Oracle Database and PL/SQL

  • Excellent written and verbal skills are essential

Desired Skills

  • Experience with implementing and support of OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud Service)

  • Experience with implementing and support of VBCS (Visual Builder Cloud Service)

  • Experience with implementing and support of PCS (Process Cloud Service)

  • Experience with implementing and support of MFT CS (Managed File Transfer Cloud Service)

  • Experience with implementing and support of SOA CS (SOA Cloud Service)

  • Experience with implementing and support of Oracle BPEL, OSB & B2B

  • Experience with administering and tuning Oracle WebLogic Server is a plus

  • Experience with JavaScript Extension Toolkit (OJET) and JavaScript Frameworks is plus

Hiring Range: from $37.98 to $76.06 per hour; from $79,000 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
