Job Description

As a member of the Consulting organization, you are responsible for ensuring that a quality, integrated software solution is delivered in a timely manner, at budget, and to our client's satisfaction. This involves working closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations, as well as working closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure delivery.

Provide engagement delivery services both as an individual and as a team member. Services include identifying needs, developing, influencing and implementing proposals. Able to lead, support and participate on project teams. Able to use Oracle selling and negotiation techniques and tools.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. A BS or BA in related fields. 10-12 years overall experience in functional or technical role. Three years experience in multi-dimensional issue resolution. Project management experience. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Assignments have been progressively more responsible. Willing to travel regionally with some national/international travel.

Role Purpose

As an acknowledged authority within Oracle, this senior-level consulting professional has a considerable and cumulative breadth of knowledge and understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs across multiple product families or domains. Collaborates with the consulting sales team to design innovative solutions that have significant industry-wide impact. Analyzes business needs to ensure Oracle solution meets customer objectives. Exercises creativity and independent judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design the most complex business solutions utilizing Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. As a position of technical and professional influence, this individual frequently operates at the leading edge of technology.

Recommends and justifies enhancements to Oracle products to meet highly complex customer needs. As a thought leader and customer advisor, influences customer executive management and partner senior management in acceptance of Oracle solutions and services to facilitate the closing of consulting deals. Coordinates or develops highly complex statements of work, work breakdown structure and/or level of effort and staff plans. Presents and demonstrates solutions to customers. Builds and maintains a network and up-to-date specific industry or product knowledge.

Responsible for transitioning deal knowledge to implementation team. Coordinates a pursuit team of subject matter experts. Leads the enterprise-wide solution design aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality and integrated business solutions. Knowledgeable of competition and external factors that may influence Oracle's competitive position.

Work Management

  • Drive the development and design of detailed solutions for the most complex projects

  • Advise and influence customer executive management and partner senior management on process direction/decisions by providing industry, business process, and product expertise

  • Lead the development of the technical detailed work plans which support the overall project plan

  • Anticipate program/project risks and suggest risk mitigation to program/project manager and communicate to Risk Management as applicable

  • Escalate at-risk programs/projects to Oracle senior management

  • Resolve the most complex customer issues by recommending solutions

Knowledge Management and Sharing

  • Participate in and host internal Oracle calls, webcasts, and events

  • Sponsor and actively contribute to an Oracle professional community

  • Partner with Global, Technical Business Unit, Industry Business Units, and Product Marketing to facilitate knowledge sharing between various groups

  • Spearhead the development of new intellectual capital thinking and training materials to accelerate Oracle’s position in the market

Leadership

*Teach other consultants on RFP and bid package process

Work You’ll Do

The Oracle ECSA will leverage deep technical experience to help clients achieve value through defining and implementing Cloud migration strategies leveraging Oracle technologies for mid to large sized and global organizations. As the expert, you will be responsible for formulating and leading presales functional and technical support activity in collaboration with consulting sales, delivery and our clients. You will develop and enhance methodologies that leverage leading practices to architect and deliver secure, highly available, and performant solutions and lead Cloud Strategy, Cloud Migration, Application and Database Consolidation, engagements.

Job Roles

  • Architect Oracle cloud based (IaaS/ PaaS/ SaaS) solutions to enable Cloud and Hybrid cloud solutions with consideration for performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and geographically disperse networks

  • Plan and lead Cloud Strategy, Cloud Migration, Application Consolidation, and Database Consolidation engagements leveraging Oracle Cloud technologies

  • Plan and lead cloud suitability assessments of applications and databases across the IT landscape for large enterprises

  • Provide direction and mentoring to other team members

  • Provide project management, technical leadership, and lead delivery team

  • The work is non-routine and complex, involving the application of advanced business and technical skills

Responsibilities

Qualified candidate will be responsible to perform the following activities:

  • Leverage deep technical experience to help clients achieve value through defining and implementing Cloud migration strategies leveraging Oracle technologies for mid to large sized and global organizations.

  • Develop and enhance methodologies that leverage leading practices to architect and deliver secure, highly available, and performant solutions and lead Cloud Strategy, Cloud Migration, Application Consolidation, and Database Consolidation engagements.

  • Provide architecture to integrate and extend HCM/ERP Cloud services or HCM/ERP applications (PeopleSoft, or eBusiness Suite (EBS) HRMS, EBS Financials)

  • Guide multiple implementations using SOA, Web Services, J2EE/JSF/Oracle ADF (Fusion Middleware) in EBS or PSFT on-premise projects

  • Provide leadership and hands-on expertise and execution capability on the delivery PaaS based technical solutions to extend and integrate with ERP or HCM Cloud. In addition to the hands-on role, the candidate will also provide onshore leadership to onshore and offshore resources, perform customer facing activities including conducting discovery sessions, solutioning workshops, presentations, conduct POCs, ...etc.

  • Operate independently to provide quality work products; perform varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle Application products and technology to meet customer needs; apply Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices; demonstrate expertise to deliver technical solutions on complex customer engagements.

  • Lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget; act as the domain expert on projects, providing coaching, mentoring, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members; effectively consult with management of customer organizations; participate in business development activities; develop and leads detailed solutions for moderately complex projects

Experience

Qualified candidate must have strong experience with:

  • PaaS architecture, specifically, Oracle’s SAOCS, JCS, DBCS, Storage Cloud Service as it relates to Oracle SaaS Applications

  • Extending and integrating with Oracle ERP or HCM Cloud

  • Extending and integrating with Oracle EBS or PSFT

  • Architecting conversions and interfaces into and out of HCM/ERP cloud: FBL and HDL, ADFDi, BIP, OTBI, as well as Web Services

  • Prior experience with one or more of the following modules is mandatory: EBS Financials, EBS SCM, EBS Manufacturing EBS HR and Payroll and/or PSFT HR and Payroll

  • Project implementation and delivery methodologies, such as Oracle Unified Methods

  • Use of Fast Formulas, FF, UDTs, HCM Extracts, Personalization, Fusion Security, Dynamic Columns, is preferred

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of cloud concepts and service models Technical Skills

  • Understanding of Cloud Architecture and Service Models
